Subway Fare
UI/UX - NY Daily News, 2017
In 2017, my team was tasked with designing an interactive feature meant to drive NYDN visitors to articles related to restaurants in NYC. In conjunction with the interactive developers, we created an experience that not only create more article circulation, but helped people discover new food near their subway stop.
Logo Development
Our intention when designing the Subway Fare logo was we wanted that New York City vibe to it. After several iterations and extensive research, we decided to use a typeface that was similar to helvetica which is used on the NYC subway signage. We also decided to use the colorful iconic subway service bullets and replaced the letters with eatery symbols.
House Ads
Visitors entered the experience via house ads on the home page.
Map View
After choosing a subway line, visitors are brought to a scrollable article list with a view of a subway map with corresponding subway stops.
Mobile
In mobile view, the scrollable article cards become more prominent on the page with an option to view the subway map.
